Hiroshima before explosion

Introduction

The history of Hiroshima and Nagasaki divided into two parts in part-1 I'll explained the things after explosion. In this article I'll explain why Hiroshima and Nagasaki was destructed.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki are two cities in Japan that are known throughout the world for one event: the atomic bombings that occurred during World War II. However, the history of these two cities extends far beyond that single event. In this article, we will explore the history of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, from their early origins to their modern-day status as symbols of peace and hope.

Hiroshima

Hiroshima is a city located on the western coast of Honshu. Honshu is the Japan's largest island. The city has a long and rich history, dating back to its origins as a small fishing village. In the late 16th century, Hiroshima became a center for trade and commerce, with merchants flocking to the city to sell their wares. By the mid-19th century, Hiroshima had become one of  most important industrial centers of japan, known for its production of textiles, weapons, and other goods.

During World War II, Hiroshima was a key target for the United States, due to its strategic location and importance to Japan's war effort. On August 6, 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on the city, killing an estimated 140,000 people and devastating the city. In the years that followed, Hiroshima struggled to rebuild, but eventually emerged as a symbol of peace and hope, with its Peace Memorial Park serving as a reminder of the horrors of war and the importance of working towards a peaceful future.

Nagasaki

Nagasaki is another city in Japan with a long and complex history. Located on the southern island of Kyushu. Nagasaki was one of the most important port in japan during the Edo period by serving as a center for trade and commerce with other parts of Asia. Nagasaki was also one of the few cities in Japan to have significant contact with the outside world, with Dutch and Portuguese traders visiting the city regularly.

During World War II, Nagasaki was also targeted by the United States, due to its importance as a port and its connections to the Japanese military. On August 9, 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on the city, killing an estimated 70,000 people and destroying much of the city's infrastructure. Like Hiroshima, Nagasaki struggled to rebuild in the years that followed, but eventually emerged as a symbol of peace and hope, with its Peace Park serving as a reminder of the need for global disarmament and cooperation.

The reason

US destroyed these two cities because these are the major cities that provides power to the japan economically.
The destruction of these cities lead to End of the war.

Rebuilding and Recovery

In the years following the atomic bombings, both Hiroshima and Nagasaki faced significant challenges in rebuilding and recovering from the devastation. In addition to the loss of life and destruction of infrastructure, the bombings left many people with long-term health problems and disabilities, due to exposure to radiation.

Due to this radiation people are  suffering from various disease till now.

Despite these challenges, both cities were able to rebuild and recover, thanks in large part to the support of the Japanese government and international aid organizations. Today, Hiroshima and Nagasaki are thriving cities, known for their rich history, vibrant culture, and commitment to promoting peace and understanding.

Peace and Remembrance

Today, both Hiroshima and Nagasaki serve as symbols of peace and remembrance, reminding us of the horrors of war and the importance of working towards a more peaceful and just world. Each year, on August 6 and August 9, respectively, the cities hold commemoration ceremonies to honor the victims of the atomic bombings and to reaffirm their commitment to peace.
